Building out this bike, the main goal was to have a bike to go fishing with. With multiple mounting points, a steel frame and a carbon fork. Landyachtz was the perfect blend of durability and comfort. 

The bike handles everything I throw at it with ease; I was surprised by how well it rides, especially carrying awkward gear like rods and nets.

Landyachtz have really built a great frame; it gives you options to take the bike wherever you want to go, in my case, a flat bar gravel bike to head off fishing on the weekend.

I chose this build because I wanted a bike that can do double duty as a road bike and a mixed surface rig. I have owned numerous carbon road/gravel bikes and this build is the most comfortable bike I have owned. The only time I notice a slight difference is at the start of a climb, but once climbing the 10-52T cassette gives me a low enough gear to make up for the slight weight disadvantage of a heavier build compared to carbon. I will sacrifice a couple of pounds any day for the ride feel you get from a steel bike. Of course

I also had to add some bling to the bike with Wolf Tooth Color shop accessories. Like they say, "Steel is real". I enjoy this rig so much that I am already adding to my Landyachtz family by building up their CBmkII frame as my next custom road 1x.

I chose the Landyachtz for the steel frame and flat bar compatibility (although it is set up with drops for now). Comfy ride with the ability to strap gear onto the frame for future bikepacking trips, and massive tire clearance. Just a great frame to keep and modify depending on what I'm doing with it.

I wanted to build up a practical city pathway/commuter/grocery machine. It turned out great and is a ton of fun to ride.
