Fox 36 SL Updates and Install
Fox has recently unveiled the 36 SL, a trail focused fork that redefines the balance between weight and performance for mountain bike suspension. Designed to cater to riders seeking a lightweight yet robust fork, the 36 SL offers 120mm to 140mm of travel, making it ideal for trail riding without making any compromises to weight or performance.
Mark is here to run through swapping a Fox 34 with the all-new Fox 36 SL on a Rocky Mountain Element. Follow along while Mark gives a run down of the latest features and upgrades Fox has made to their new suspension.
Grip X
Trail and All-Mountain riders no longer need to choose between descent-focused dampers or lightweight XC dampers. The Grip X provides descent performance in a lightweight package, easier set up, and a firm mode for pedaling efficiency.

Low-Speed Compression | 16 Clicks |
Low-Speed Rebound | 17 Clicks |

Glidecore Air Spring
Glidecore air spring reduces friction by moving with the fork under dynamic load. Large cross-section O-rings dampen and control this motion while also reducing breakaway friction of the air spring. This results in a smoother suspnsion action
Arch Design
The 36 Sl arch design wraps around the lowers to contribute to a torsional stiffness gain of 20% over the previous Fox 34 trail fork. While cutouts in strategic locations help minimize weight.
