How To Make A Return

1. Submit a request

If your order was under $150 and did not come with a return label. Submit a returns request through your account. Skip this step if your product came with a return label.

 

1. Login to your account

2. Select "Return Items" under the order you would like to return

3. Select the quantity of the item you would like to return

4. Select the reason for the return

5. Select return action: Repair, replacement, return, or store credit

6. Write any comments you would like to share with us

7. Select "Submit Returns Request"

 

Our team will review your request as quickly as we can.

2. Receive RA

Receive return authorization (RA) with shipping details and instructions on how to return items. Skip this step if your item came with a return label.

3. Pack up items

Pack up your items appropriately to ensure no damage happens during the shipping process. DO NOT ship items in display packaging. Place them in an appropriately sized package. 

4. Receive your refund or replacement

After the product has been received and inspected at The Bike Shop, payment will be refunded back to the original method of payment or a replacement product will be shipped.


Returns Policy

Standard return policy

100% satisfaction guaranteed. We stand behind everything that we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item within 30 days and we'll exchange it or refund your purchase.

 

• Items must be returned within 30 days from the time of delivery
• Items must be in its original packaging
• Items must be in new condition, undamaged, without altering 
• Items must be packaged appropriately for shipment in a manor representative of how it was originally delivered to you

Restocking fee

20% restocking fees may be applied on any order at the discretion of The Bike Shop if the conditions in the above policy are not met. Restocking fees may be applied to an in-store credit, gift card or deducted from the funds returned to your original payment method.

 

The Bike Shop does not charge restocking fees for items ordered direct from our suppliers that are returned/exchanged or for products purchased from our stores with the exception of the following:

 

• Items shipped back in inappropriate packaging

• Special ordered bikes

• Items that are returned that do not adhere to our return policy

Processing fees

Online orders that are cancelled are subject to a 3% processing fee at the discretion of The Bike Shop. Bike cancellations are subject to up to a 5%. If you have any questions about our processing fees please reach out to our staff. 

Return labels

Orders over $150 and apparel including clothing, shoes, and helmets come to you with a return label. You have 30 days from the day you receive your item to use the return label. 

 

Bicycles are not included in free returns.  To return a bicycle please reach out to weborders@thebikeshop.com

 

Customers who ship items after 30 days using the provided return label will be charged and responsible for the shipping and handling fees on the return. 

 

Orders under $150 that do not qualify for free returns will be charged $10 for a return label at your request.

 

Orders from the USA are excluded from free returns. 


Returns/Exchanges FAQ's

Any products not used, damaged or altered in any form within 30 days of delivery and in its original packaging is eligible for a return. Bike parts and accessories that have been mounted to a bicycle can not be returned/exchanged. Returned merchandise must include all hang tags, original packaging, paperwork, and must be packaged properly to avoid shipping damages and restocking fees. DO NOT SHIP ITEMS IN DISPLAY PACKAGING (re-use the box the item was shipped to you in at all times). Any restocking fees may be applied to an in-store credit, gift card or deducted from funds returned to your original payment method.

If you picked your order up in store and prefer to return it in store please do! In store returns and/or exchanges can take place on the spot and all the same guidelines listed above apply to both in store and online returns/exchanges.

For hygienic reasons the following items are a final sale and not eligible for returns:

  • Swimwear
  • Undergarments
  • Wetsuits

If for any reason you're not satisfied with a Bontrager aftermarket purchase, return the item within 30 days for an exchange or refund. Think of it as a 30-day test ride. If you're uncertain, let Bontrager and The Bike Shop take the risk out of your purchase. This guarantee includes Bontrager aftermarket components, clothing, and accessories. Bontrager OE (original equipment) componentry sold as part of a bicycle is excluded. Used items must be cleaned for a return. If you send merchandise that is not cleaned or laundered, we will return it to you at your expense.

With a full range of options and sizes, including Women’s Fit as well as a High Volume Fit option for wide feet or those with high insteps, we're confident that you'll get a comfortable fit with Giro. So try a pair and if the fit isn't comfortable in the first 60 days, we'll work to make it right.

No, you will not be charged any fees to send a product back provided it falls under our return policy.

We request that you package the item securely and in the smallest, most appropriately sized package possible. DO NOT SHIP ITEMS IN DISPLAY PACKAGING (re-use the box the item was shipped to you in at all times).

After we receive and complete an inspection of the product/s, The Bike Shop will complete the refund transaction within 1-2 business days and you will receive a confirmation email showing the refund amount. Please note it may take up to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement depending on the financial institution.
